Hospice: Help is just a phone call away
When time matters most, help is just a phone call away.
At Hospice of Washington County, Inc. we promise to empower patients and families, assisting them in creating an extraordinary end-of-life experience.
Hospice of Washington County’s staff and volunteers are honored to answer the call of our founders’ early mission. The Hospice was born out of the vision of an exceptional group of people who realized the value of hospice care and wanted it for their families and neighbors. In 1980 they created a small, all-volunteer organization. HWC has grown into an organization employing nearly 100 people and serving over 200 patients a day.
Hospice is a philosophy of care that is about managing the pain and symptoms of a life-limiting illness so the patient can live out the time left to the fullest extent possible. Hospice is not about giving up. It is about quality of life.
