Olde Tyme Christmas in Funkstown

Help celebrate the Town of Funkstown's 250th anniversary at the annual Olde Tyme Christmas on Friday, December 8.

Events will take place throughout the town, starting with dinner at the fire hall beginning at 4:30 p.m.

At Town Hall, there will be free face painting, wagon rides, raffles, a Christmas ornament sale, and light refreshments. A craft show will be held at St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The schedule of other events includes: 

  • 6 p.m. - Christmas in the Park with a yule log bonfire, hosted by the town's Boy Scout troop and Cub Scout pack. Enjoy popcorn, hot dogs, hot chocolate and s'mores with the scouts.
  • 6:30 p.m. - Pony rides in the park
  • 6:30 p.m. - Welty Church Praise Choir at Town Hall
  • 7 p.m. - Santa Claus comes to Town Hall
  • 7:45 p.m. - Opening of the town time capsule
  • 8:30 p.m. - Winners of the ornament contest, decorating contests, raffles, and auction will be announced

This year's celebration is dedicated to the memory of Irene Owens.
