Socrates Cafés involve people of all ages and backgrounds gathering to discuss philosophical subjects. Christopher Phillips, director of the nonprofit Society for Philosophical Inquiry (www.philosopher.org),developed and promoted the idea of the Socrates Café. Currently, hundreds of Socrates Cafés meet regularly across the country in libraries, schools, retirement communities, prisons and other venues. All are welcome to this thoughtful and respectful exchange of ideas and perspectives on agreed topics. Bring a friend and a question to explore! We look forward to seeing you. Parking is available in the rear lot of the library. Free.
