Well traveled storyteller Lynn Ford brings decades of experience as a festival teller and favorite of adult, children and family audiences to her first appearance at Stories In The Round. Lynn is a fourth-generation storyteller from Appalachia, a teaching artist with the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education, a workshop facilitator with multiple sponsorships, a writer and Thurber House writers’ mentor with multiple books of her own as well as articles in storytelling magazines and story anthologies, an award winning recording artist, Laughter Yoga Teacher and breath mechanic. Her life roles as partner-in-life, mama, grandmama, great-grandmama, and good cook also figure prominently in her diverse traditional, original and contemporary tale-telling. Season IV of Stories in The Round meets at 7:00 p.m. the fourth Monday of the month April through December featuring a local, regional or nationally popular storyteller each session. The location is the Unitarian Universalist Church of Hagerstown, 13245 Cearfoss Pike (Salem Avenue extended, west of town). Doors open at 6:30. $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
